Darn it!  I didn't know this was happening -- didn't hear anything about it on the radio or anything.  But that explains all the unusual traffic signs around that area.

I went to see the first bloom in 1999, but was only able to see it a couple of days before it opened -- when I went back to see it after it opened, I sat in traffic on Allen Avenue (the road leading into the Huntington) for 45 minutes not moving at all and finally gave up.

I actually had a couple of these in a terrarium for a while, but managed to kill them.  You can buy them sometimes from blackjungle.com here:

I have been wanting to go to see this great plant and flower.

I have some friends with some of them and Boy they take long time to grow.
