I camped in Anza-Borrego last night.  Invert/herp activity wasn't too great, but the flora was awesome!  The flora hasn't peaked yet, though.  The barrel and beaver-tail cacti were just beginning to bud and the agave hasn't even begun to sprout.  It should be awesome in the next month or so!

I did catch a couple scorpions though.  I didn't bring a blacklight so I just flipped rocks.  I haven't caught this species here before and I'm not sure what they are.  Pics of them will be up later.

I also found about a dozen or so tarantula burrows.  It was cold so they weren't coming up, but I could feel them tugging at my twig. (Don't laugh, Warren! ::lol::)

The area I was in is called Little Blair.

My little campsite.

Ive explored that very area and surroundings.  I want to get back down there this year and gather more of the loxos I found in certain canyons.

I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn't sure of their range.

Going based on the pictures (which can be a bad idea), it does in fact look very similar to S. donensis Smile

Also, that pic with the flowers carpeting the floor is stunning, you just got to love the beauty of the deserts.

The scorpion was confirmed by Zach to be Superstitionia donensis.
