Hey everyone.....
Some of you might have noticed that I requested the Sept BBBQ not be on the weekend of the 8th and 9th......
That's because from the 6th to the 9th I'm planning on a high likelihood of me being on Catalina Island. It's a yearly trip I go on with a nerd (non-bug) group.
I want to ask our scorpion aficionados: What species of scorpion can I find on Catalina Island? I plan to go blacklighting.
I know that they exist there, and I would assume that with the geographic isolation, we would have some cool morphs or species.
Let me know everything you know!!!!!! _________________ -Neshan W. Sarkisian

I believe that there was a thread either on the ATS or AB that had info on them....w
EDIT i was just looking for the thread and couldnt find anything, but i did come across a thread that said there are c-pedes there that are brown on brown, something else to look for maybe...W _________________ “Look down at me and you see a fool;

Sorry, a late reply. The only scorpions found on that island (so far) are Pseudouroctonus minimus minimus. I believe that this species is only found on Santa Catalina and San Clemente Island. Beware any collecting regulations.
