Mated on 9/20/07, had molted on 9/2/07. She was completely aggressive towards the male, so I helped him out by holding her back a little (hope she didn't mind too much) Afterward, I cooled her in a wine fridge, dropping the temps 2F/day until 56F, then left her in there for 2 months. After that, normal household temperatures. When I came home from the BBQ on the 7/12/08, she had an eggsack in with her!!!!!!! Have to totally thank Wilhelm (I hope that was you) for telling me they can take up to a year, I think he was a good luck charm!!! I pulled the sac yesterday, and assuming they make it, you can totally have a free one to send that good karma right back at you! My second female was mated on 10/1/07, and was also cooled for two months. She laid an eggsack on 7/24/08. I have yet to pull it. Here's a pic of the sac I opened yesterday.

The eggs w/legs were incubated at 84F in a refrigerator style incubator. Don't even ask how many there are....it's bad luck to count IME.

Update: 9/3/08: The first spider of sac #1 has molted to 2nd instar. The rest look soon to follow.

Great, great news.  Congrats and good luck with all the slings.  One of my favorite species hands down.  Let us know when the babies are ready.   Smile

Excellent Cloe!! Remember all of your scabies loyal friends when it's time to sell them.
