Hello SCABIES!

I thought I knew pretty much everyone, but I'm seeing some user-names on here that even I don't recognize, so I think it would be optimal to have an "Introduce Yourself" thread.......
Almost all of you know who I am, but I'll get things going anyway:

My name is Neshan W. Sarkisian

I live in Glendale at 91206

I like walks on the beach, and foggy sunrises.........

But seriously....
I'm mostly a T aficionado......I'm also interested in scorpions, and keep a few species.
I dabble with centipedes, but only have S. polymorpha "Giant Tiger Pedes"

These are the T species I keep (or have kept):

Aphonopelma sp. "Eutylenum" (wild caught in San Diego, CA)
Aphonopelma reversum (wild caught in Glendale, CA)- No longer keeping
Avicularia avicularia
Avicularia versicolor
Brachypelma vegans
Ceratogyrus darlingi
Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens
Cyriopagopus sp. “Singapore Blue
Grammostola aureostriata
Grammostola rosea
Haplopelma lividum
Haplopelma longipes
Holothele incei “Norte de Santander”- No longer keeping
Lasiodora parahybana
Nhandu chromatus
Nhandu coloratovillosus
Pamphobeteus fortis
Phormictopus cancerides
Psalmophoeus irminia
Poecilotheria ornata
Poecilotheria striata
Psalmopoeus cambridgei
Psalmopoeus irminia
Psalmopoeus pulcher
Pterinochilus murinus
Stromatopelma calceatum

These are my scorps:
Anuroctonus spp.
Babycurus jacksoni
Hadogenes paucidens
Pandinus imperator
Vaejovis spp.

True spiders:
Latrodectus hesperus
Latrodectus mactans
Kukulcana hibernalis

TD spiders:
Gorgyrella sp. "African Red Trapdoor"
Bothriocyrtum californicum "California Trapdoor Spider"

Pedes:
Scolopendra polymorpha "Giant Tiger Centipedes"
-And some native millipedes (unknown)

Hey wassup,

Name is Johnny but Im not an alcoholic.(I think)

I live in Glendora but will be moving soon.

My other interests are 80s music, DJ'n, Birds, Zombie, Cult, Foreign and Western flicks, Photoshop, Flash...... Pretty much what my profile says.

Im primarily a true spiders guy but have a scorp and a T. I have had the common, popular Ts in the past but now Im getting more absorbed into inverts since discovering AB.

My inverts are just a few since I have to keep the collection small due to my planned move.

2 H. Venatoria
aphonopelma chalcodes WC T
Bothriocyrtum californicum trapdoor spider WC
WC scorp - unk sp caught on the scabies friday night outing
Latrodectus hesperus

and will pretty much keep it at that with maybe a Hogna Carolinensis (Wolf spider), a Lynx spider, or another huntsmen or a dolomedes would be cool.

Hey Eddy here.
Well my real name is Edward Hernandez but just Eddy(yes with a 'y'), Edward, or just abyss works fine. I'm lucky to have met some of you at one of the hunts but would like to get to know all of you a little better. I'm really more into scorpions than anything else but thanks to Andrew and Warren now have a few T's and a centipede. I'm still a newb to T's and 'pedes but don't hesitate to ask me about anything scorp related. I live in Huntington Park in Los Angeles 90255. And i guess thats it. See you guys at bugbecue.

Yo my names Caleb... i've been collecting bugs sence i was 2 years old.. when they asked me what i wanted to be when i grow i would always say "I want to be an entomologist!!!" Most people thought it was some made up word that a little 5 year old didn't know what he was talking about hehe. I love bugs, (duh thats a given, im here arn't I?), But My other love is Reptiles.. but ATM i have more Scorps then Herps. I'm pretty new to the world of arachnids, just got my frst few scorps a few months ago, and my collection has been steadly rising.

I'm not all Animals though. I also Ride Quads alot.. sometimes do what i call 'drive bys' where i jump off the quad to catch a snake or anything on the side of the trail... very efficient way of hunting! I play bass to, Surf, Play alota Video games, Build computers, Fish, pretty much just name anything and I do it.

i'm andrew

i am moving from a sort of "keep 'em all and let the gods sort them out" approach to bug keeping to actually having a few (well, 10-12) species that i am concentrating on. and yes, 10-12 *IS* concentrating, for me!

when not knee deep in inverts i am some kind of computer programmer and general number monkey

i have a cat that i love more than most people. his name is Anubis, Lord of Venom.

i am a compulsive sci-fant reader and movie watcher.

someone just gave me a piece of cake. nice.

Hi Everybody,

My name is Eric, I'm mainly into aquatic animals and herps but, I've always had a love of arachnids too. I currently don't have any but, I have had the "usuals" in the past such as Rose Hairs and Pink Toes and a few scorps. THe most advanced T I've had was a B. smithi, but I was young and my parents did all the work ( lost it during a molt Sad ). I hope to learn more from you folks! Can anyone recommend any good books out there about inverts?

I live in Corona, I help out at a local zoo, I'm into wildlife photography and I love my Jeep, thats me in a nutshell

Eric

Another David here, and probably the oldest fart in the group. Hence the reason I don't make it to many of the hikes. Things should improve since I've had gastric bypass surgery, so eventually, I'll be a lean, mean invert collecting machine. I live in the slums of Beverly Hills with my 17 year old daughter.

I've been keep T's for 5 years, and now having some breeding success. I also dabble in scorps and centipedes. I have a Deathstalker and a few Heterometrus longimanus, and a couple snakes and two cats.

In my free time, I cook, take naps and chase young chicks. I collect bowling shirts, but I don't bowl. I am a big fan of true crime, especially serial killers and forensic science. I have a good knowledge to make bodies disappear. I won't go into details, but I will say simpler is better.

Hi,

My name is Kassie. I am Julie's niece.

A bit about myself, I am currently in 7th grade. I love listening to music. I love learning about T's. I like playing the guitar. I like photography. And I love reading about vampires!

I used to be terrified of any type of spider until I go my first T which was a Avicularia avicularia.

I have around 17 T's, 1 true spider, 1 scorpion, a dog named Molly, a cat named Lily-blood sucking demon of the night, a ball python and I think that’s about it! I have a few pets for my age! Very Happy

I can tell you I have 17 more T's than all of my friends that's for sure!

Kassie

Hmm, just found this thread....

I am Kevin, currently I am 16 but I will be 17 soon and I will be a senior in HS. I mostly like scorpions and centipedes, but true spiders are beginning to become part of my focus.

I only keep three T's one A. seemanni, one P. cambredgei, and one local Aphonopelma. My scorpions include 6 species of vaejovids, 2 Anuroctonus pococki, 0.3.30+ C. vittatus, 2 Tityus stigmurus, and 2 Tityus falconensis.
