I was kidding. Duh. Is that a list of what you'd like folks to bring? If so, put me down for pork and beans. Baked limas with country style ribs. The recipe that Grandma wished she knew.

There was a young man from Sparta,
who was known as a masterful farter.
On the strength of one bean,
He's play "God Save The Queen"
And Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.

Thank you, I'll be here all week. Try the veal.

Would beer and hookah be OK?  I usually bring two or three gallons of microbrew and I've also taken a four-hose hookah pipe the last couple of times I've been to a BBQ.

Since you're in Ontario, I suppose I could also pick up some Hooters wings in place of one or both of my above mentioned items.

Laughing I didn't see beer mentioned in the list of items the host wants us to bring, so I thought I'd ask. No alcohol, no problem.

No alcohol? Sad (how boring, but ok)

ogershok, sorry to hear you won't be able to make it. That's really too bad. Maybe next time, I hope?

Did anyone specify a time for this BBQ?

I want to volunteer food, but need to figure out what time I'd be going first.

Only two hours???  Usually they run for about 5 hours (or more).  But you're the host -- if that's what you want.

Hi, All

Apparently, there is a little problem with the BBBQ this Saturday:  The_Arachnid did not get his parents' permission to host a scabies event at his house, so it will need to be moved or postponed.  (The_Arachnid:  if you get your parents' permission, we can host it at your house sometime in the future, O.K.?  And I will get confirmation with your mom first next time).

Anyone else want to volunteer to host?  I can offer my place (in La Crescenta) if no one else is able to host this Saturday.  Francisco will post a poll to see if people want to postpone or move the event.

Does this mean we can bring beer now? (and hookah?)

Also, I might be bringing a guest or two (cousin and his girlfriend).

I might also have some used KKs and flower pots for the raffle.  Plus a ton of G. rosea slings FS/FT/FF.
