Ok guys, I have spent the past 2 days volunteering down at PP setting up their tarantulas correctly.. It is much better now, they have been moved away from all the ants, and are now in much larger containers with coco fiber bedding.... So maybe this will be the start of a better T dept at this store... Matt _________________ Reptile Rescue Orange County

I didn't see this post before I posted my latest review the other day, but I went back for some crickets on Sunday since I was in the area again and they've made a couple more noteworthy changes.
When I was there on Wednesday night, they still had sponges, but the sponges have since been replaced with small cups that looked like something you'd see on a Nyquil bottle.
The other change I noticed was a sign that pretty much said, "This is our arachnid section. Please be aware that all tarantulas are venomous, but are not dangerous to humans, though some tarantula venoms are more potent than others. Please research the species you are planning to buy before buying it. More information on tarantulas can be found on Arachnoboards, the American Tarantula Society, and (some other source, I forgot what it was, but it wasn't SCABIES)."
Again, I didn't look around the rest of the store, but the pond water where they keep their fish is still pretty dark and the section where they keep their large tortoises smelled like a pig farm. Other than that, not bad.
Matt, you rock! Volunteering your time to better educate those running this store was very great of you to do. _________________ My Facebook | My MySpace
