Well, I'm hoping there's more where this one came from:

Oops! I didn't notice the legs sticking out from under her tummy -- that's *three* so far... _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
I notice the mother has her second pair of legs tucked under her, as if she is using them to monitor or assist with the births. _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)

There may be people who like centipedes. I have seen people handling tarantulas and scorpions, but never a centipede handler. I would regard such a person with deep suspicion...Now what sort of man or woman or monster would stroke a centipede on its underbelly "And here is my big good centipede." If such a man exists, I say kill him without more ado. He is a traitor to the human race.
I had to run out to take care of some urgent business, and now there are nine (I think):

Ooh, baby scorps are cute. Are you going to sell these? If so, I'll be interested _________________ "Paranoia driving me insane; Paranoia ripping through my brain; Paranoia making me believe; Paranoia, that somebody's after me!"
Oh, yes, there'll be some for sale -- we definitely can't keep them all!
Looks like about 14 now, but it's too hard to count them:
It's funny, because they look just like little maggots or something, but I just find baby scorpions *soooo* adorable! _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
Awesome. I'll take 3 when they're ready. _________________ "Paranoia driving me insane; Paranoia ripping through my brain; Paranoia making me believe; Paranoia, that somebody's after me!"
this is another species i love to see bred. it has been locally extincted in some of the collection areas in africa, from what i have read _________________

I still can't tell how many there are -- I'm guessing the final count is somewhere around 20??? (Lookit those cute little curly-cue tails!!!)
She (the mom) is SO CRABBY!!! I set up a larger enclosure for her and the babies, but every time I even so much as *touched* her current enclosure she went crazy defensive! Rearing up, claws in the air, tail ready to strike. I don't want her knocking the babies off, so I'm leaving her alone for the most part.
Does anyone know if she will eat now? Should I try to feed her a disabled cricket or something? I don't want to endanger the babies, but I want to feed her if she's hungry so she doesn't decide to munch the little ones. I could try what I did with the Flat Rocks which was put some waxworms in the enclosure. _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
Wow, nice Celeste, How many adults do you have in the enclosure?
I just picked up some emps myself Saturday and off to a good start. I dropped in 4 emps into a communal tank I just set up for them. I walked out the room for about 5 minutes, come back, check the tank and 2 emps were bow chika wow wowing already
