Celeste

I have only heard Katydids out for the last week or two -- they have been conspicuously absent all summer (like most other bugs this year). But I just caught this beautiful girl on my trash can in front:

You can't tell from this picture, but she is quite large -- a good two inches long, at least. I'll let her go tomorrow.
