It was freaking fantastic! I want to thank our gracious hosts Neshan and his parents for the awesome venue. I would like to thank individuals, but I know I will forget someone, so I won't.
I was thrilled to participate in the birthday bukkake starring Neshan, that alone made it all worthwhile! But seriously, I have never been associated with a nicer group of people, and it was great to meet the new members.
I am not thrilled that my daughter *forced* me to spend part of my rent money at Krazy8's table. I got the most gorgeous Singapore blue and an Orange Huntsman with an eggsac. I'm glad I can blame my obsessive behavior on someone else. _________________ Crazy Dave's Inverts - "Your prescription for arachnid addiction"

HEllo NEsh,
I have to agree with all the other guys and girls.
Thank you and your family for such a great BBQ, I don't think any other group have BBQ like this one.
Happy B day too.
I did not get a chance to introduce myself to everyone who do not know me, but next time will be.
It was a pleasure meeting new members as well as seeing old members.
I also would like to extend my thanks to Chris for the great inverts and the great deal.
Anette, I got home safe and in one piece and I was playing with one of my new pets, on my way home.
thanks again Nesh and everyone else for a another great BBQ.

Looks like it was fun!
I would just like to take this opportunity to offer up my(well, my parents) house for a BBQ in January. Not sure on the dates we can have it right now, but we should be available.
I can let you guys know what days work after Thanksgiving(I am on the East coast right now). |

Also posted this on the other thread:
The BBBQ was sick. Great people, food, & of course inverts. It was great meeting new folks and getting to see the others again. My thanks goes out to:
1. Nesh & parents - for their hospitality
2. All that brought inverts & stuff for sale/trade/raffle/or just plain giving them away
3. All for the goooood food
My son sends a special thanks to Dylan for keeping him company, Andrew (very glad to hear he's okay) for letting him call out the #s during the raffle, & Annette, Tabbie, & Jen for giving him some slings to look out for.
Talk to you guys soon. |

To Everyone:
Hosting this party was absolutely my pleasure (DavidRS, you know what I'm talking about  )
I am very pleased with the turn-out.
Almost nothing went as planned, except for our guest list......which is all that really matters.
I had a blast, and would like to thank everyone for the wonderful gifts I received! (You know who you are Tabbie, Anette, Janelle, Wayne, Steven, Liz, Andrew, and friends.....)
I would also like to extend my thanks to Warren, for lugging that huge 40 Gallon tank to my home. I plan on experimenting with a communal P. murinus setup. I've got about 16 slings ranging from 1-2" that I want to throw into it. (Don't worry! I paid him for the tank....)
Big thanks to Steven and Andrew......our very own self-mutilating, willing-to-get-bitten/stung-by-just-about-anything, masochistic, and very enthusiastic party guests, who really manage to make a party....well, a party!!! You guys always put on a great show with your enthusiasm for handling just about anything. As we witnessed yesterday, this can definitely have its downsides......but wasn't it still awesome?! Hehehe
Like I said before, nothing went quite as planned, except for the guests, the group picture (awesome), and their food!!! ::lol::
We wanted to do a packing demo, sing the song composed by DavidRS, and do an actual raffle.
As you know, we didn't do any of these things.
What we did do after Andrew left, however, was sort of a "free-for-all-with-donations" where you claim your prize in a first-come-first-serve, and then you donate whatever you are willing to pay for said prize.
This actually worked out AMAZINGLY.
We raised a whopping $131 in that event alone!!!
This is all going towards our very special and unique society. Thanks to all of you, even the people who couldn't show up, even the people who got bit by a centipede and left early, and even the racial minorities, for all of your enthusiasm and energy in making this society what it is now, and what it will grow to be in the future.
Turns out I was wrong. Scott wasn't the only ridiculously white person with a glare from the sun!!!

Yep,
Many thanks go out to Neshan and the SCABIES gang. Hope N had a happy B-day.
I had a blast; truly a GOOD TIME. And that's not just the 3 40s of Country Club talking. Truly fun stuff. Down to do it again whenever the next get together occurs, provided I am given the green light.
Thanks,
-chris

AWESOME!! i think January would be a great time to plan for the next BBBQ. Everyone should be recovered from the holidays by then.
Also, SCABIES should have all the details of the money raising raffle by then as well. We can all bring our Christmas cash!!
It would also be nice to have an event in the OC!! There are a lot of places we could go hiking/hunting. Maybe we could even plan some sort of hike/hunt in the morning before the event?? We could even split up in a few different groups and hit different local places... Just throwing out some possible ideas...
i'm looking forward to it already! |

Well, my favorite spot is toasty now(Modjeska) but I am going to be checking out a few new spots legal collecting spots in my local area(Aliso Viejo/Laguna Niguel/Laguna Hills) as soon as I get home.
Not sure what time of the day or day of the week I will be going but mainly morning to mid afternoon on Wednesdays and Fridays...
