Graphic sex between two B. albopilosum
Finally, I've got two T's of the same species that are of mutual breeding age. Sheesh. Anyway, they had their bit of spontaneous love today. I used, at first, the Andrews Sisters version of Bei Mier Bist Du Schoen as the background. PhotoBucket rejected it as copyright violation. Wow. A song from the forties. Double sheesh. Anyway, for lack of any Barry White and substituting Sweet Georgia Brown, here they are.

I know that someone in SCABIES has raised a sac of albopilosum but I can't remember who it was. Anyone recall? I'm curious how much time passed between mating and sac production.

I believe Francisco may have bred B. albo, but I could be wrong.

Anyway, good luck!

Thanks Francisco - so based on the video, do you think we saw "the money shot?" I'm planning on pairing them a few more times just in case.

Hello Dave,
he was moving the palps too much at the begining but then he pause and she was bend backwards really good so He might have gottem both palps inserted.

I did re introduce the male two more times to my female until she ate him.

you should be able to tell by the females reaction if she is still in the mood or not, for me that would be an indication of a great job by the male.

francisco

Well, it's been just over two months now and when I looked in on her as I was leaving for work this morning she was building a sac. How cool is that?

Ogreshock  Can i ask you why you re-introduced the male to the female untill she ate him ? I personnaly felt sad when i read that.  Sad

I do know those things happen and i'm not gonna judge you or anything , i'm asking this question in a friendly way. I'm just curious whether it was necessary ?

In most cases when a female eats a male it suggests that the female took on one of the previous matings and also she will usually have a bigger more plentiful sac.

multiple matings are shown to increase chance of eggsac and number of eggs if a sac is produces

it is likely he is very good nutrition for her

I've no idea what you are referring to. She did not eat him. He's alive and healthy in the cage next door. Getting enough fiber in your diet? Also - it's spelled "Ogershok."

All is forgiven. BTW - She's still guarding that sac like a leprechaun and his Pot O' Gold.

Hello All,
Krawll, the reason why I left my male with my female is because the male was already kind of old.  I wanted my female to try to mate with him again and also have a good meal before egg production.

Tarantula males don't live too long. SOme species are know to live for a couple of months to a few years.

This changes depending on care, frequency of matings and specie.

regards
francisco

thx Francisco.

Everything you said does make sense.  I know sometimes my questions may sound weird ::lol:: but i'm just like that .

I wanna say i never meant to disrespect anyone . Smile

And  the mispelling in Ogershok's name was realy unintentional Smile.
