A. chalcodes Mating - More "feeders" on the way, h

I was able to trade some G. rosea slings for an adult female A. chalcodes shortly after the BBQ.  I then went online and looked for a MM and found one at a fair price.  I received him a week after I got the female.  He was more than happy to see her.  Five minutes later after getting his palps in her a few times and seemed to have gotten the job done.  I'll pair them up again a few more times over the next few weeks.

Nice! Seriously, chalcodes are one of my very favorites. I'll be dead before mine matures.

Lookit the size difference on those two!  It's amazing she didn't eat him.

Looks like he knew what he was doing.  ;-)

Wow, Celeste you are right.

A few of those pics had me a little concerned for his safety.

Brave brave little MM!

I will definitely be interested in some of those little ones, if you get a good sack and are interested in selling some, Omar.

I was amazed by the size difference, as well.  When I opened the container he was in and saw him, I thought he'd become a meal rather quickly, but I thought I'd at least introduce them and see if I could get the male to make a sperm web if he wasn't already loaded.  It sure seemed like he was loaded and was ready to go.

No drumming from either one.  He came up behind her, touched her leg, and she lunged at him.  He has an excellent sprawl and was able to overpower her rather easily.  I don't think this was his first time.  Laughing
