Sorry to say but half the localities(at least) in Orange county are either completely false, or have been developed... so that is something to keep in mind whilst checking out these spots! Make sure you check google earth before venturing out.

A couple of the localities are right in the middle of roads, or on sheer drops that he could not have gotten to even with climbing gear(read off the side of Ortega Hwy, where there is ~no shoulder).

aaahhh
maybe they did what i do, and figure out the coords after the fact... but suck at it
there are a lot of records for around my dad's house so i can check them out and see if i can make sense of the missingness
or maybe they are a bit of built in security... and they know to add a degree or soemthing =P
that is al ittle disheartening... but at least we can hopefully assume the locs are at least within a mile or something :/

Also depending where the satilittes are in the sky, I've had my GPS be up to 50'+- and as little as 2+- from where im actually at, so for the best it close to where you were..
