Amorphophallus titanum bloom at Huntingtonhttp://huntington.org/thehuntington_full.aspx?id=4132Darn it! I didn't know this was happening -- didn't hear anything about it on the radio or anything. But that explains all the unusual traffic signs around that area. I went to see the first bloom in 1999, but was only able to see it a couple of days before it opened -- when I went back to see it after it opened, I sat in traffic on Allen Avenue (the road leading into the Huntington) for 45 minutes not moving at all and finally gave up. I actually had a couple of these in a terrarium for a while, but managed to kill them.
