Arthropods of the OCHi Guys,
I just happen upon this site that shows the local stuff we have in Orange County. If you click on the pics it will list the species that have been found. Most of the pics are taken in situ/local. There is a pic of a Aphonopelma sp. right down the freeway

very nice
makes me want to try to keep pseudoscorpions again. i have a thriving colony of spring tails and my little "micromealworms" to try feeding them with. not to mention the big brown hisser mites

EDIT: I found out about Melyrid beetles where they are flightless and the eytra are reduced to stubs! I've got to look this family even futher. And I thought that some of the flightless blister beetles that do have elytra but don't fly were unusual!
Again I thank you for bringing up this site. This is definitely going to keep me busy for a good while with my insect blog and that's a good thing! Yippee! I ♥ you!
