some of the CA salamanders (or wahtever) are freakin awesome looking. i saw one that had like, golden rose shapes embedded all over it!

i have to admit, this isn't technically in situ, but it appears that posts are being divided by local/exotic and not wild/captivity...

anyway, it ate 8 termites today(!) and has a really long tongue (like, the length of the head).
i was expecting it to die within a few days but it's looking more promising  Smile

when i get home from work, ill post some california sal pics. in my opinion, california has some of the COOLEST salamanders in the world....2nd only to mexico. Very Happy

no, there aren't any places close to me that sell them, and when I try to culture them they either mold up too fast or are too wet and the flies get stuck.
