It looks like a pill bug to me. That's a really cool looking bug what ever it is. But from what I can see it looks like a pill bug. You could post the larger one. It should help with the ID of this pretty one.
I love mystery bugs. I have so many that I need to know the ID of it's not even funny. Good news that I got alot of them ID'd. And then there's this black and red beetle with a long neck and it's small. Very small. I don't have a picture but I drew it the best I could when I saw it at camp this year in a little note book a friend gave me to keep track of my bugs. I'll scan it later and post it here and see what you guys can make of it. I hope you can ID it. It's been bugging me for a while now. Never saw another one. So I need to know and I hope that you find out what yours is too. Although I'm pretty sure it's a pill bug or pill millipede of some sort so that narrows it down a bit. xxx ooo
