Scolopocryptops gracilis Scolopocryptops spinicaudus Kethops utahensis Cryptops hortensis Theatops posticus Theatops californiensis Of the seven species present, there are 5 genera. Here is how to tell the genera apart. Of the four genera, only Scolopendra possesses OCELLI (clusters of simple eyes). Of the four genera, only Scolopocryptops has 23 walking legpairs. Of the four genera, only Theatops has massively fat terminal legs and an extended final bodysegment. Kethops Cryptops have no eyes but only 21 walking legpairs. It is possible the antenna are comprised of ~10 segments only, all of which are smooth? To distinguish S. gracilis and S. spinicauda:
