Can you overfeed a Centipede?

My new S. hero eats one cricket after another... I'm afraid to give him too many.  What do you think is ideal?  Also, any opinions on giving mice, lean turkey or hot dogs to pedes?

I have feed adult scolopendras pinkies before and they ate every last bit of it. I did it when I was going out of town for 2 weeks and didnt want anybody else to have to try to feed them.

Hello,
Well I had feed my large scolos 7 large crickets or one large roach once a week.

hope this helps.

i would say you can overfeed just about anything.  all my bugs would eat until they were what i think is an unhealthy weight.  i have seen centipedes that were just about as tall as they are wide... i think that is dramatically going to shorted a centipede's life.

my general rule of thumb for centipedes is that if they can touch their top and bottom armor plates i need to feed them a bit more and if they are thick like a finger (you know, like round like a snake, versus the kind of oval cross section i think is normal for a centipede) i am feeding them to much

something else to consider... centipedes seem like the messiest eaters by far, out of centipedes, tarantulas/spiders, and scorpions.  they leave bits and pieces all over and have a tendency to leave even more juicy remains when they are well fed.  if too many of these remains are left behind and the substrate is appropriately moist you are asking for mold, a mite burst, or some other yucky annoyance.  it seemed to me that when i kept my centipedes fit but not fat that i was having to change out corrupted sub way less often
