Check out this horned lizard.I found this guy today while hiking in Sycamore Canyon in Poway. I was very excited to find it since it was the first one I'd ever seen in real life! It was very slow moving and easy to catch. Once I picked him up I could put him in any position I needed.

Back in the early '60's, these were so common in the San Fernando Valley, we would see these almost everyday. Now they are an endangered species. Damn, I'm showing my age.
