quite a lot of requirements for them right? Just the right amount of humidity and other things. They are really, really nice looking though.

Used to keep them... Tall cages, high humidity with proper ventilation... I would pick one up from LLL Reptile in Oceanside, they have the best prices...

I have a friend in Pennsylvania who breeds green and yellow ones.

I had dreams about me helping Celeste with her breeding projects, Snakes and Lizards after she retires.
I also like to get some of those but their temperament is not the greatest.

They are a cool species to keep.
The only major downside to keeping them is that they're bones are very fragile. Many people have lost them due to broken necks because they strike at there prey to hard, or the strike at someone walking by the set-up.
I've never kept them, but i've done my research.

Hey Kyle,
I had one a few years back, before people got really serious about them. You can get ones now from different localities/islands that are pretty pricey. It is considered a "advanced" herp to most people but, you keep pretty good care of your animals, I think it is a species you will have no problem with. I was at LLL Oceanside Saturday and it looked like they had a few like Matt said.

Fragile bones and broken necks? SOunds like they are hitting the enclosure.
I would think the enclosure size would have a direct effect on this issue.

Yeah they hit the enclosures to hard, or there prey. Chondro's have very fragile bones regardless, especially as juvies.
