What

I think this is the first time I have seen pictures of a beetle in flight. I can understand the frustration for photo stuff.  Razz

Try working with spiders that are <1/4" and lightning fast.

i took about 100 photos of this thing flying around the light in my room and these were the only 3 that turned out. it was very difficult to do

thanx guys! i appreciate it. these guys seem to be most common in august. they are thick here. some of the males are so large that they sound like a helocpter when in flight! when they fly into the lights at night, they hit the ground with such force, you swear they would crack in half! i friend of mine was waling in williams one night and he got hit in the back of the head by something resembling the feeling of a golf ball. he said it hurt like crazy. he turned around to expect someone throwing stuff at him and instead, found i giant granti on its back just behind him. these beetles are very amusing! and if you arent careful with the males, like ftorres says, they WILL mate with your hand! ::lol::!

If I had known they were from AZ when I lived there I would have grabbed some!!!!

Send me some josh!!! PLEASE!!!
