Does anyone know if sugary stuff like that is bad for them?

is pumkin bread that sugary? it all depends on the recipe. some are and some aren't. some regular breads have a ton in there so it will sell better.
as a diabetic i am often surprised by what has more sugar. and what does not.
figs are pretty sugary.

My dubias seem to prefer sweeter food and fruit than not.

I've noticed that too. The fruit is definitely gone faster than the veggies. Other critters that seem to love figs : Tortoises, box turtles, rats, and hermit crabs. All things in moderation of course.

I give my roaches fruit flavored parrot treats, they also like dry fruit flavored reptile food. I always check the bargain bin at the pet store to see what goodies they have for my roaches.
Also, hissers will fight over fruit loops. ::lol::.
