Duck Daze Sat. May 16th 2009
We will need a head count of whos going to help out, and whos bringing what bugs/animals. There is no charge for us. I am going to give Margie a call to confirm ASAP, but I would like to know how many of us are going to show up. Our annual event will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009, here at Hidden Valley Nature Center. We would like to present family oriented activities for the 400-450 people who are expected to attend, including exhibits relating to families, wildlife, history, hayrides, nature/bird walks, crafts, live animal presentations, face painting and games are scheduled. Food will be available for purchase. Exhibitor set up time will be between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. Each exhibitor will receive one or two exhibit tables and two chairs. Reserve your space by either filling out the attached form or by calling me at the above number by May 2, 2009. If additional accommodations are needed, please note on the form. There is no charge for exhibitors. If you have an activity that is child friendly or of educational value for the general public, please feel free to include that as part of your exhibit, as well as any information about your organization. I can commit 99% and can bring a couple T's as well. The only reason I can't make it is if my ASCA club puts on a herding event or something that weekend.

This event is at the same time as the Bug show in the mUseum. We can work on getting two teams to cover both events. Those who attend the Saturday event can come and help on Sunday at the Museum. just an idea. francisco |

Okay so who can help out with this?
I will be there as well as Herp Freak but we could use at least 2 more people. I'll be taking; A.chalcodes, king snake,glossy snake, Giant millipede, desert hairy and dune scorps, and anything else I can think of. |

I've handled her twice with no problem and no aggressive behavior at all

My mom found a baja rosy boa in the yard today (Very odd) I am thinking it was someones pets. It's mine now!!
Buttttt I have a mid baja female I can bring, she is large enough to handle. I'll bring her, and a RCF rosea, and a local sp. of T Should I bring a pokie? =D |

Yeah, they are. I'm thinking about bringing a few individuals each of B. Fusca, B. Discoidalis, E. Posticus, B. Craniifer, B. Dubia, and A. Tesselata. | ||||

I may be able to help in the morning. I can bring a female M. giganteus, female Hogna carolinensis (display only), and I may have by then (if it finally molts) a very colorful B. bohemi . I can also bring the large female Aphonopelma sp. "Bakersfield rust" (that name is now trademarked, ha ha I should be an unscrupulous dealer  ) being that she is native and all.
You know what?... put me down for Saturday morning. I can be at the Bug fair on Sunday.

Okay guys, before it starts I am making pancakes, bacon, and eggs. 8-9am
more then welcome to stop by for breakfast =] ALSO afterwards there will be a bbq, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, salads fruits veggies. AND we might have a jumper...so bring the kids. If there is no jumper we have a little play ground for them. We are still considering getting one though....we'll see. Just let me know how many people are comming.
