Endangered Inverts in California?

My mom is doing some project with the kids she works with, having them make posters about california native endangered species. So I thought it would be nice to include a bug or two for the kids to learn about. I'm going to be putting together really basic fact sheets (1st-2nd grade level) about a few different species of animals (I think she wants 5 max), and want to include at least one mammal, bird, reptile and/or amphibian, and invert. I figured this would be the best place to ask. What are some interesting bugs that are on the endangered species list? Photographs would be nice.

mountain yellow legged frogs (rana muscosa) are extremely rare. they have now separated the northern mountain yellow legged frog with the southern mountain yellow legged frog, leaving the southern with the title rana muscosa. they have a very limited range and have been disappearing throughout. a friend and i did however find a population taht was thought to be extinct since the 1970's. it was a friggin great trip!
