Florida HuntsmanGot this girl from Darren (drapion) when he came down for a visit.
Any ideas what the species is?
All I know is that she's from Florida, and they're pretty common.

Looks just like my sub-adult H. venatoria. Especially coming from Florida, that would be the most likely species.

isn't there supposed to be Isometrus maculatas scorpions around there, too?
i know there are some mygs i am interested in, also
we should do some studying and hit it up in the spring a couple few times
i would be interested in some venatoria, btw

I have 4 of the H.venatoria also, looks all females 2 have had eggsacs 1 empty, 1 eggs bad, and 2 nothing yet.. this guys are super fast and i mean FAST...
Anybody know how to sex these???

I wish, but the supposed population was in Long Beach. None have been reported since the early 90's.
