Fungal contamination of a Drosophila melanogaster culture led to deaths of spiderlings. Mucor hiemalis f. hiemalis was the culprit.
Treatment was only marginally successful (20-30% survival).
Infection method was not able to be completely determined, most likely booklungs/small injuries.
