Genus: Aptostichus (CYRTAUCHENIIDAE)

Genus: Aptostichus

The genus Aptostichus has recently had some work done on it and seems likely to have many species (>=30) with close to ten being described in science so far.[1]  Platnick has seven species listed, and i believe all of them can be found in CA.

Platnick currently (2009) has 7 species listed:
A. angelinajolieae
A. atomarius
A. hesperus
A. miwok
A. simus
A. stanfordianus
A. stephencolberti

It seems likely that many of the species, both described and undescribed, will be all but impossible to tell apart strictly from looking at morphology, so very careful collection location data must be kept [1].
