I have found SEVERAL large claws in the wastelands...sadly no scorpion to go with it. It's not pococki either or any A species for the matter. You mind saving that scorp I would really like to get a look at it and compare the claws i found.

Honestly...i cant even see the picture thats why I'm not trying to ID it. But the ones I found are not pococki I can tell you that with 100 percent certainty. Granulation pattern and shape are different. Okay I just took a look at the pic...doesn't look like pococki. Can you post a picture for comparison?

im tellin ya.... phaiodactylus. ive found plenty in your general area. they look just like that.
andrew, remember when we were digging up phaiodactylus at pyramid lake?? they looked just like that. did u keep any of those?

when i was there, we dug up alot of these things. i have found them on past trips as well. from the overall size in the photo, it would be about right. could be a young pococki. i havnt seen enough pococki however.
i dont know enough about scorps, but my guess is phaiodactylus.

They look VERY similar. Hard to tell the differance. I'll ask Kari

i know reasonably well how to tell the difference between pococki and phaiodactylus, ive just never seen a juvenile pococki. i havnt seen too many pococki for that matter. i have no clue if a juvenile pococki looks extremely similar to phaio's will be interesting to find out. you guys will definitely have to let me know what you find out here

that is pococki correct?? the dark body gives it away right? phaiodactylus are very light as juveniles. the adults darken up slightly, but not much and are very yellow or yellow orange everywheres else.
