Why gosh, thanks so much! I didn't realize there was a camera at my party. Tip: Always use a CO2 fire extinguisher on a cake. The nasty chemical ones really screw it up. OK, the answer to the unasked question: 61.

Happy Belated Birthday, Dave!!!  Did you do anything "bug-related" on your birthday?  Get any extravagant new invertebrate pets?  Drink any good "beverages"?  (We're not allowed to say "Scotch" on here, are we?)  ;-)

Scotch. Scotch. Scotch. Neener neener. Actually, I bought myself a new shotgun. An H&R Pardner, a single shot 20ga. I bought the same gun last month as a gift for my best friend and I liked it so much I got one for myself. On sale at Big 5 for $119.00. Thanks again for all the best wishes.
Life is good.
Celeste

Aw, man!  I've been wanting a new shotgun!!!  I'll have to check that model out.
Johnny

I got my shotgun when my daughter turned 12.....  Evil or Very Mad

Sorry...meant to respond first time round... so anyway..  budget scotch..so do tell Wink
Dewar's 12 ...interesting.  flavor...rich/deep/peaty.  Worth a taste.  Finish is as refined as burning lathn'plaster and it doesnt last even long enough to fathom appreciating it ... but I still recommend giving it a try.
Amazing heavy islay scotch extender!  Make your expensive Islay go a long way!   Wink  Shocked  Very Happy   A good amount of Dewar's 12, a drop of water and a splash of Ardbeg or that Laphroaig cask strength you have sitting around ...and...BAM! instant savings! Great taste!  Life seems luxurious again!  Twisted Evil  Wink
Celeste

Great suggestion, Steven!

Trader Joe's has some good, inexpensive Scotches (including some *really good* ones for *really cheap*!)

Trader Joe's is one of my favorite places. Whisky, beer, cheese, snacks, coffee, tea. I love that store.

No Dude, you weren't listening. Cheap Scotch. Cheap. Cheap as in not pricey. Cheap as in Ballantine blended guaranteed aged for at least 30 days cheap. Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cheap. Generic supermarket brand cheap. The kind of cheap you experience when you go from Rembrant 5-year aged Gouda to Cheeze-whiz cheap.

So what yer sayin is you got the cheap stuff eh?   Laughing
Just do yourself a favor and NEVER bother with Dunlivet.  Its the cheapest of cheap ...see it stocked at bevmo all the time ...something like $7 a bottle ...well... its sh*t.  Id choose a cheap bourbon over it.
lizmotobike

now there is cheap and there is inexpensive. some times in pays to do research on who is importing your cheap scotch. you can get knock offs from "b" & "c" ratings of good companies. if the batch was not "right" they sell it under another name. nobody pours it down the drain.

That's really a decent blend. Trader Joe's has it most of the time.
