Okay, I just recently cleaned out my roach bin. I still had about a 100 or so nymphys I was sifting out of the first bin. I didn't bring it in the house because I only have room for the one bin. I had planned on finishing to separate out the rest of the nymphs. However, it was last week when we had the really bad winds. I woke up and found that the bin got blown over and was now empty.
So basically, I just released 100+ B. dubia nymphs in my backyard. How bad is that? Am I going to infest my yard, house, neighborhood???? My nieghbor knows I have roaches for my dragon (doesn't know I have T's) and will freak big time!!
What
With the weather as it is, I highly doubt if they will survive long. I wouldnt worry about it too much, if they start showing up then maybe stick some glue traps out or something?

I am taking care of some cats for a near total stranger, and I have them in my back bathroom. They knocked over a container of dubias and most escaped. I caught almost all of the escapees, and they were all dead within a couple of days -- curled up into the fetal position. I don't know if they came in contact with something toxic to them or what. Since then, I've found a few more carcasses. They don't seem to survive very long outside their cozy little habitat... it's way too dry for them.

They require higher temps and humidity. so they wont last that long in our cold SoCal weather
