I'm sure you've seen this before, but...

I still thought it was cool as I hadn't come across it in any other site... maybe it's just that old.

Científicos del Instituto Max Planck de Investigación de Metales en Stuttgart, encabezados por Stanislav Gorb, descubrieron en las tarántulas cebra (Aphonopelma seemanni) de Costa Rica un tercer mecanismo de adherencia: estructuras microscópicas en forma de boquilla ubicadas en las patas, que segregan un filamento viscoso parecido a la seda.

Quick translation:

A. seemanni has minuscule silk-like laying organs ( Rolling Eyes ) on their legs Smile
They can use even to avoid falling if they slip from a surface Smile

I had seen the report somewhere before, I think i have it somewhere but I've never read the full article nor found a complete PDF.
