Isopods in your VivariumAnyone here that has used, or is using, isopods as a clean-up crew in damp, tropical enclosures?
I've been reading about them for awhile as a way to keep mold & mites under control. I got some orange isopods and have been trying them with seemingly good results. I see them eating off of food boluses, and they are multiplying. I recently got some called purple isopods, more like gray, and will be trying those.
Just looking if anyone else has experience with these.

Check out the post I made here on a self-sustaining emp(tropical) enclosure. I encourage the use of moss and isopods. I've used them and never touched my tank for maintanace. And they bred like crazy.

Maybe I should ask this in the Bizarre Bazaar but since we're talking about them now, anyone want to sell a starter culture of any of the larger isopods? The orange ones are especially cool.
