July BBQ Food ListI cant believe I'm making a food thread and I haven't ate all day. Anyways So far we have
Eddy: Desert ( eh probably cheesecake and icecream)
Chloe(flaming); artichoke pesto
Kyle(NoExcuse);chicken tikka masala
Warren; Chips & dips
Johhny- Ceviche and Watermelon
Emo-Donuts and very tasty tarantulas(yum)
Jules- potato salad & deviled eggs
Andrew-??
Celeste- smoked turkey, rolls & cheese enchiladas
Liz- Chicken

....I know most of you guys are dudes....but I really haven't been feeling the meat lately.....maybe an artichoke pesto pasta salad or artichoke cheesy pesto stuffed mushrooms-will have to bake for like 10min after arrival...? Really into artichokes....Feel free to shoot me an idea. I'm open and clueless and willing to put effort into something. Made a really cool horseradish-cheddar dip on er um earthday.

Yup. Not a bug guy though. A unicycling, fire twirling shuck-and-jiving single dad. Won't go near the roaches. Cool with the spiders though.

But yeah, I've only made chili once in my life and it actually turned out decent. I can bring something else if you guys want if my chili sucks.
Edit: Ok, i looked it up and it is indeed psych. "sike" must be a "Burg" (Fredericksburg, VA) thing along with "word" being spelled "werd". But at least i know how to spell "douche".

I *love* Indian food, too, but I don't eat meat (aside from bugs, crustaceans, fish and other stuff low on the food chain and not chemically tampered-with by humans).

Hey guys,
I'm not sure what I'm bringing yet but I'll think of something. I haven't been to a Bar-Bug-Que in forever. I'd like to try and make this one.
Anyone driving through south OC of from south OC/Irvine area. I'd love to hitch a ride/contribute towards gas or drive and car pool if anyone is interested. Let me know.

Apparently my niece Kassie wants to come, which is cool by me. I'm glad she still has the interest. Anyway, now that there is the two of us I'll be driving. I'm still happy to carpool if anyone needs a ride and is on the way. We've got room for two more.

What you got there sounds pretty good already, Eddy! But I will bring healthy fruit juices for the kids, and some kind of protein. I'll probably bring something like a smoked turkey and some rolls (for the omnivores) and those cheese enchiladas again for the quasi-vegetarians -- those things are yummy! (Only this time, I'll try to cook 'em before I bring them!)

Man, I hope you guys are hungry! I just got done cooking up the food. Is there a way to reheat it or something at the BBQ or should I reheat it before I come? I guess I didn't really think it through... Also, Cloei is bringing stuffed mushrooms and may also need to pop them in the oven for a few minutes.
Edit: I just sampled the chicken and my lips are on fire...I hope you guys like spicy food!

My oven is used for storage at the moment ::lol:: but I can empty it out. Theres also the stove, microwave and grill.

I think i've figured it out. I cooked the chicken tonight, I'll make the sauce tomorrow morning and heat the chicken in the sauce and it should be good to go when I get there.

i am only bringing aprox a doz legs and a doz. thighs as it advised bringing food for 6. i was so excited the first BBBq that i went to that i totally over bought.

I've been to four of these BBQs so far, and there has yet to be a *shortage* of food... So if you can't afford to bring much, don't worry about it -- you won't go hungry.

Oops! I guess I lied. She was asleep when I got home last nighr and I assumed she had already made the potato salad. However, she's making potato salad and deviled eggs right now!!
