Hey scabies, it's been a while since the last time i found something for the first time ::lol:: but i finaly have something totally new to me .
I've checked it up on Bugguide.net and i think it looks exactly the same as Herpyllus ecclesiasticus witch is a very very nice looking spider.
And this is the VERY FIRST time in my life that i see a spider of that species. She is ridiculously fast and realy gave me a super hard time to catch her ::lol::.
Here are the pics, she was captured about 30 minutes ago so i'll probably post updates after i rehouse her
and here is the link to Gnaphosidaes at bugguide witch is where i think i found the ID
By the way it ended in a sad story for this one The morning after i captured her, i checked on her and everything seemed fine , she was still alive and everything so i just thought i'd give her some water only on one side of the container in case she would get thirsty untill i bought a new batch of feeders cuz i was out So anyways , i checked back on her a few hours after spraying water in the container and she was on her back lifeless. My guess is that she drowned or maybe she needs to be in a totaly dry area, i dunno. It's pretty sad. I realy liked her and was intending to keep her and get her a nice critter box like i did for my other pets. I still can't beleive she drowned . I only sprayed twice and the spray gun was set on mist. And it can't possibly be because of the water being corrupted or anything because it's the same water i give to my others pets and they often drink from it and they are still alive.
anyways........ i guess if i ever find another one , i will try giving her water in a small bottle's lid instead. That way i won't humidify the whole container.
