Mantises at the March BBQI ended up with a tiny mantis at the BBQ and I don't know who brought it or what species it is. Any info? (Love mantises by the way)

Hello,
the mantis were Tenodera a sinensis. Common name Chinese mantis.
Eddy hatched the ooth

chins can get some decent length but remain rather skinny
very cool predators! if you have never had a mantid before you are ni for a treat. i fyou have never had a visual predator bug before you are DEFINITELY in for a treat!

A few years ago someone gave me several deroplatys, one of the dead-leaf mantises. Can't remember which one. You're right, they were amazing to raise and I had really hoped for an ootheca. The female chomped the male and I did get a sac but nothing ever hatched.
