I'm gonna get another one of those fold out cardboard displays and start sticking stuff on it. This is the one I have for my Corucia:

I can put "scabies" at the top in big letters, and start printing out some of the cool scabies event pictures (so long as no one has a problem with me using their images) and sticking them on. But it would be better if we had some good species info or caresheets to hand out, too...

i'll be making some species stuff for the backdrop. i was thinking of one page showing sex dimorpho for mature/near mature spiders

i'll also make little quarter sheet handouts for various species.

All in spartan display cages.

I was figuring on doing a quarter sheet handout for all the species we bring. If you want me to do a write up for your species, let me know what you are going to bring ASAP!

I'll be there the entire time, and the scabies table will be right next to mine so I can cover it if no one else is there.

I'll bring another of those tri-fold poster boards (like the one I show above for the Corucia), so you guys can decorate it!

I also have the box of scabies cards from Nesh, and will bring those as well.

Don't bring too many bugs, because we're only going to have (at most) one table and maybe a part of mine. So we should coordinate what people are bringing. Like if everyone brings as many bugs as they brought to the Pet Jungle event, we wouldn't have enough room. So be thinking in terms of about 1/3 as many as people brought then...

How about if I keep a running list posted HERE?

I can bring some Tiger Hisser roaches -- they are always a big hit with the kids. And maybe my mommy Flat Rock Scorpion and her two babies (kids could hold the babies). I'll bring some info sheets on those two species as well.

yeah i am ashamed as i have not devoted enough time to the arachno gods. looks like it was fun but i was getting ready for mothers day. i had today to shop and tomarrow drive and then cook. my mom will go to penn. for a month soon and that will give me a little selfish fun time.

I want to thank Celeste for her help and great effort, without her this would have not been possible. I loved the banner and all the pictures.

Andrew, thank you very much I feel really good working along with you in this kind of events. A real pleasure.

We certanly got the interest of a lot of people of all ages.

Andrew donated a scorpion for a LAdy in charge of the vector control in San Grabriel and She was so happy and thankfull that she might join and invite us to some of their events and presentations as they seem to have about 50 a year.

oh man! it was so much fun!

we talked to LOTS of ppl and made some contacts about possible future bug demos and stuff!

i think scabies should write a formal thank you and either email it or post it to the SWHS. it was a lot of fun and i think we did good for our group and i think a lot of the herp ppl liked our display quite a bit
