Merry Christmas to MEMy hubby bought me a new car for Christmas! Keys in the stocking and everything. It is a Mercedes MRZ in beautiful silver. Has every extra you can think of. Totally not something I would have done if I had been involved, but he did everything. I've been just driving around aimlessly. I don't want to get out of my car!!
Hope this doesn't hurt my bargaining power at the reptile show this weekend . . .

Although, I do not know what the car looks like. I am an All American, GM girl. I know Camaros and Firebirds like the back of my hand.
I have a tarantula named Mercedes though -She will be at the show this weekend.

I'm not a car girl at all. I was driving a Toyota Sienna minivan -- bone stock. I don't have fancy taste in anything (except critters). This is Mercedes answer to the minivan, although it doesn't really look like one -- I don't know what to call it, but it's pretty. It has an awesome stereo, heated/cooled seats, TVs in the back, a HUGE sunroof, curb sensors on all four sides, a gazillion safety features. It also has totally unnecessary but cool features like automatically turning on the headlights when it senses dark -- also knows if there are any other cars around and adjusts the brights accordingly. Also knows if its raining and turns on the windshield wipers. Not a car girl, but I LOVE this car. Stuart bought it for the safety features, but since he loves excess, got it with everything. I never would have gone for it if I had been there. I would have said "Nah, I don't need all that". So it was cool that he took care of everything.

I feel i did well also. i got a transmission for my 1976 BMW r90s. installed! swing arm bearing repacked and greased. splines cleaned and greased. by my mechanically endowed fiance. and i know putting the drive shaft boot back on requires blood sacrifices of the knuckle kind. oh yeah and lots of cursing.
