My second yellow sac died

Bad news today guys, the second yellow sac i captured just died on me , probably a few hours ago since it hapenned while i was sleeping.

The first day i captured it , i put a cricket in there with him as i usualy do when i capture a new spider. The cricket was dead the same day witch is about 3-4 days ago and i think the spider killed it. I didn't understand why he would kill a cricket and not eat it so i simply left the cricket inside the container thinking he might get back to it later on.

Yesterday as i did my check up on my spiders, i noticed there was some kinda disgusting juices coming out of the cricket's body so i decided to try and give him something else to eat and since i know they eat small flies, i went outside and caught one and put it in the yellow sac's container .

Later , i went back to see if he ate the fly and to my big surprise , he wasn't feeding on the fly at all, instead he was drinking those juices from the cricket. I simply left him there and went back to what i was doing and i checked him again before going to bed and he was still right beside the dead cricket and he still seemed to be drinking whatever was coming out of it .  And finaly tonight as i woke up, the spider was dead.

Even though it's a yellow sac, i still feel like i'm responsible to keep the spiders i capture alive and right now i'm feeling guilty for being a bad spider keeper. I can definatly blame it on the fact that i didn't know much about yellow sacs feeding behaviors. Maybe he was simply thirsty and he thought he could drink that . however i still feel guilty .

No more yellow sac capturing for me . Looks like they don't do very well in captibity. And now i can't wait for the slings from my first yellow sac to just come out so i can release them and make up for my mistake with that other one. Sad

anyways , i'm going to work now
later people !

Hey again, i'm back from work and i'll just post the last pictures i got from him.
I took those as he was drinking the juice from the cricket's dead body.

I hope he's in spider heaven just in front of the best all you can eat  restaurant for spiders  Smile

Oh <poopies>, here goes my brain starting to fart again, i've just imagined a scenario about spiders going to the restaurant but i think i will go and look for the right section on the forum to post that thing. If there is any place for jokes here on the forum it'll be there.

i haven't had good luck with yellow sacs either
seem more fragile than an average tara of equivalent size

Yeah they are very fragile. I will simply leave those alone from now on.

I keep checking if the other one is still alive and so far she holding on. She has never left her little websac . She is very protective of her eggsac even though there is nothing else living in the container. The leaf i put in there dryed out on the websac and for some reason while drying it also reduced the space inside the websac and the spider doesn't have alot of room to move . I thought removing the dry leaf might remove some of the pressure on the websac so i did and the websac is intact but it's still smaller than when she first made it .

I realy hope everything goes well for her . I want at least this one's brood to be a successful one.
