Way to go Kyle!! I was just going to post an inquiry about your photo this morning.
I saw some of the photos at the booth but could not find yours. There were a lot of nice photos of colorful, beautiful reptiles. However, I was thinking that while they were nice photos, they were more like calendar shots showing beautiful reptiles in their best light. I wasn't sure who actually picked the winners but assumed if it was the general public they would just pick the most colorful but basically generic, less artistic photo. However, whoever picked the winner does know a thing or two!! Was it the photo of the rattler you put on the thread that won? Awesome and Major congrats Kyle!

Just got home -- long day!
Francisco was interviewed (twice!) by a Spanish-language TV reporter for Channel 62 (cable)! It was very cool! They were asking him all about the roaches, tarantulas, and scorpions. Woohoo my wife and I made a picture! (BTW thanks to Francisco for directing us to this site).
The woman in the pink hat is my wife Denise and the guy with the glasses and the dark blue hat with orange lettering is me. I think we were buying some T's and scorps in those pictures. Thanks to this show our collection has grown to 18 T's and 10 scorps. Thanks to Dave and Francisco for the new inverts and directing us to others who had what was on my list. And Francisco you are first on the list for a trade when the gravid C. Chiapenensis pops. |

Good to see you and your wife Denise at the show. Thanks for letting me be the first on the C chiapanensis list. Your collection has grown rapidly, congratulations. The show was super fun, lots and lots of cool people and I could not have better company. I hope everyone had a good day on Saturday during and after the show, thanks for keeping us company. Sunday was a slower day and sales were OK. It was a great experience it was nice to see a couple of guys from the SBATS, John and his friend (forgot his name,sorry) John thanks for letting us play with your snake. Celeste, thanks for the scorpions, you are always too nice!!!!! Kyle, I was smilling at the King Baboon spider that was getting ready to molt. I pulled out the molt this morning and I think is a male, but I will ask for a second and third opinion. regards francisco |

I want to thank Jonny for givng me a ride to the show and Flammingfist (Clowy, sorry if i spell your name wrong i'm asian ::lol:: ) for giving me a cute little itsy bitsy Pulchra sling. I also want to congratulate Kyle for winning the pic contest. I really had fun in the expo. one of the things that kept me from getting bored besides from all the cute lil animals was the friendly romance between ----- and ------- ::lol::. ***Chloei is such a "camera hog". I was exhausted after dealing with three kids all day long: Devhyn (spell?), Emo who was like a Mousekateer at Disneyland and left me talking to myself a few times, strangers asking me who I was talking to and after I realized that Emo was nowhere to be found I would point to my ear as if I was on a wireless cell phone, and that other kid with that big albino snake choking the color out of her. Kyle!! Congrats dude !! (where's my Tshirt you won?) Fixed by yours truely

Francisco, thanks so much for taking care of my little Avics for so long. I bought some big flightless fruit flies from a frog dealer and ALL of them are eating like little piggies, even the minatrix. I was SO tempted to buy some of the purple Avics (can't remember the species) from James' friend. However, I decided I would wait and see how I did with all these guys first. I did get a MM B vagans for my freshly molted mama. I must need to have my head examined!! I also picked up an extremely fat, well started GBB sling from James for a great price. Thanks James, also great to meet you in person!
Thanks Emo for all the info on the beardies and your sling set up. I am still reading up on beardies and trying to talk myself out of it at the same time! ::lol:: I have a feeling I will be getting at least one from you. If we can sex them I might take both. I just don't want to end up with two males who are more likely to need separating later. I'm also not done picking your brain on sling care. I know you were concerned about sling loss a while back but I think you're doing an awesome job!
Hey Kyle, thanks for posting the pics! Love the last two with classic captions of Dave and Francisco. Congrats again on your winning photo! Chloe, big congrats on your G pulchra sacs!! That is a huge success with such a difficult species! I'd be more jealous except now I at least have the opportunity to buy some of your slings! I will definitely be putting an order in for the BBQ! Andrew, where were you this weekend? You missed out on a great time dude! I am really looking forward to our next BBQ at Rakie's and the Pomona Bug Fair as well. I did pretty good and only bought one spider but i did come home w/ a total of 7 Taps thanks David, Annete, and Tarantula Inc. for those, and also a couple of scorps, thanks again Dave. My daughter did buy a lil leo gecko. Good times at dinner as usual 
But I gotta say meeting Kerry King just made my day, This is the gentleman that made me want to play guitar and was a very nice fellow to boot

I had fun but just picked up my paycheck today after the stressful sunday so I had to keep my spending money low. Got a female beardie and a ton of roaches and afterward stopped by home depot and stole James bucket idea (100 bucks my butt) for keeping roaches. So far its coming along good and no ants can get in. | ||
