Has anybody here ever set up a "natural" looking tank for Hissing Roaches. Egg crate does not look to appealing . Any ideas on substrate or hides? I was going to feed them off but, they are too awesome so I'm keeping them.
Thanks, Eric

I've been using bark chips (a la "Reptibark") for my Tiger Hissers. It looks pretty nice.

What
Peat mixed with oak mulch and coco fiber would probably work quite well as a substrate, and some cork bark laid down on the substrate would probably be enough structure...

Hey Eric, I'll have to post pics later but I have a communal set-up in a 30 or 40 gal. tall tank that consists of hissers, African millies, and 2 or 3 other native millies, A heck of alot rollie pollies, Tailess whip scorpion, and C.hentzi scorps.
For substrate I use coco-fiber/peat mixture, decomposing wood, and leaflitter, along with several branches that the hissers and scorps use..
