To have a pal you must be the pal, Grasshopper.

Actually has started bonding with me a bit.  She'l climb my arm and hang around on my shoulders ...but still WAY more jumpy compared to a domesticated rat.

We been letting her run round the bathroom with us and shes crazy spastic at times but she'll climb right up me and hang or even hunker down with me ...which is a good sign of trust and possibly instinctual need to bond with someone.
The female (mommy of above mentioned rat) had another small litter...looks like three.  Hopefully she'll keep all three... I guess black rats tend to control litter size and sex of the eepers more than the browns do.  I think her 1 eep litter was probably larger ...the males will kill male young sometimes right away if conditions call for it ...ie:space,food,stress etc.

anyway...its been interesting so far. Wink
