New scorps

My first new scorps came in. I still have some more comming in over the next week and I'll add them to this thread. Anyhow I have 6 new Vaejovis Carolinianus scorpions. They are 3rd or 4th instar. Tinny little buggers. My camera's macro has a hard time getting a good picture of these guys.

Oh for those of you that care there has been a genus change. I dont think carolinianus is on the list but you guys should check it out.

I didn't see Carolinianus on the list, but there were quite a few that I've seen for sale that are now in a new Genus.

One of these days I'll have to research exactly what gets a species put into one genus or another. Is this purely objective, or is there some subjectivity as well?

I understand the basics of how the categorizing works, but I am confused about why it changes. Is it because at first glance a group of speices most closely match one genus and then with additional review/new species they find one or two common traits that is not shared with the original genus, and thus create a new one?

I am curious over what criteria is used to make determinations and what review process changes have to go through.

I personally don't agree with all of it. But I wanna see what Kari and Luc think of this.
