idk about that place
they straight out say anything you post becomes sole property of site proprietors. that will cause problems for me posting stuff i have worked really hard on i am already having issues with a certain big forum semi-stealing my posts (::lol::, and their usage agreement states that each user retains ownership of their posts) i think i am going to have to pass, unless they change their usage agreement |

We made this group for California's herp peeps. No hidden agendas. Trust your buddy, Edgar. 
We actually made this group to support herp and invert societies and promote their activities and help however we can. Thats one of our main goals. It is very education and support focused. We listed SCABIES in our invert society group and will love to send people your way! |

if you change your usage to the more normal "posts remain the sole possession of the user that made them" type of setup i would be happy to join
really, it is best for you to do it that way anyways... right now there could be accountability issues as you claim rights of all posts... so in theory someone could sue you for something that some idiot posted |

Watch out for a "This usage agreement may change at any time for any reason without prior notice" clause. They may be waiting for you to join and post a few things, then BAM! they change their usage agreement to how it was before.

that already got me. i may stop posting on other sites. i am sick of not being able to edit my posts. i may end up having to file suit to get control of my posts. i was essentially told to take a walk and my posts are still not mine. i don't want to sue, cuz i would be forced to sue for my time and expense and i think that would ruin the site... but dang, all they have to do is give me what they say and said was mine i do suspect that the clause is not legally binding, though... but our country is so insane it could be |

I noticed that aswell.
There was this site that was hasseling me for some B.S. from another site and I knew I was going to get canned, So I went thru and editted all the more important posts and put a happy face instead,. that taught them that whats mine is going with me. |

Andrew, you may just have to keep it as simple as:
"no, your L. parahybana is not in a death curl...it's molting" type of thing. BTW, I once posted a help ad for the same reason, so :p to those that think that I've something against these kind of questions. The site has some cool features, like the image search, I personally think it makes it easier if one wants to go back and find all the images of one sp. in the site, but would also say that the site does run the risk of getting sued, easily, if a person gets offended or is bullied (which can be very easy) by someone else at the site, especially because the site in fact does say all posted material is property of them. I wouldn't waste my time posting hard work, even though I understand you (Andrew) do it to share with others, it doesn't mean that otehrs should get the legal credit for it. Just MHO |

Heres a solution to this problem, just do screen shots of your work and upload them to the bucket and then post that way. If you ever want to part ways just move the folder in your account and that will solve that.. |

I don't feel like joining another site that I won't be able to contribute since I dont know if I'm gonna be on much after I leave my job.
