Quiz - what's unusual about this molting T?This will be obvious to all the old timers but let's see if any of the newbies can see what's so odd here.

I don't see anything wrong here ::lol:: .
I'm getting curious to know what it is though

The palps almost look mature male-ish. I could be wrong though. Only other thing I can see is arboreal T molting on the ground.

Rosenkrieger is really close but that's not an arboreal. It's a B. albopilosum. A fully mature male and one that has already bred. He's the male from the video I posted a while back.

This is a POST-ULTIMATE molt. (Balam needs glasses.) Here's a close up of the palps.
He didn't do well with this molt. Not surprising. These seldom come out well. He lost a leg and both pedipalps and is really scrawny and long legged. Deformities are common with a post-ultimate molt. Here's the ugly picture:
Anyone else ever have one of these happen?

Oh man! I would've thrown him in the freezer as soon as I saw him on his back. Postultimate molts almost never turn out well.

Nope, single ones but they're big.

That's exactly where he went after the pic.

Wow, I knew they could do that, but I didn't know it usually turned out so bad like that.

Eww! I hope my P. regalis male doesn't try to molt again. It has been a year and five months since he molted out to adult, and he's still kicking.
