Rattus rattus

Ratatat ..gatchya, you little devils!
Ok... captured 3 (2males & 1fem) using a live-trap. More living in our attic?  Ought to be, but after we captured the three ...not another peep...no rativity whatsoever.

edit: oops.. almost threw this pic out...

Yes..course Im tempted to allow the female to have young and then raise some.  Its just to be considered ...still researching issues... such as disease transfer from mommy to the eeps.   ...Otherwise they will be set loose somewhere they can climb a palm tree and be free once again!     Wink

Awww thanks for sharing Steven-cute Rattus rattus-roof rat. I just love rats. Thats nice of you to relocate them.

In some of my dealings with rats, if the mom is carrying diseases, it can be spread to the young.  Sad

Good luck and enjoy.

This doesn't look anything like Kyles Ewoks... I'm disappointed. ::lol::

You can have all you can catch in my chicken coop!  I can't keep 'em out -- they chew through or tunnel under *everything*.

Yep... was thinking about hanging rodent tubes around my room...or at least a path to my puter desk where I could force them to come to me for food ...something like that.... BUT, they've already completely chewed away the inside lip of the aquariums plastic molding. I mean... completely...perfect grains of plastic "sand" covering the bottom of their tank within 3 or 4 days!   I bet theyd be through that rodent tunnel plastic in no time flat.   Shocked

BTW... yes...i still have them.  (just a quick confession w/more to come..hopefully) Very Happy

Dude . . . that's wrong. Just soooooooo wrong. Baby wild rats won't grow up tame. You need a snake. A big snake.
Steven

Well, as for the rest of the wild ones that may be still living within our domain ...my extermination plan is based on this simple solution. ...and i do believe you.. Dave..will think this solution interesting!  Wink

That's beyond cool. That's something I wish I had thought of.

These are actually pretty cool. Love all the pics, but the "kissing" shot is too cool. Congratulations on the acclimation of these little ones.
