Red Steatoda - looks like a match...Female is from west of Vegas ...close to the Redrock Canyon area. The male is one of our mystery "pumpkin" Steatoda that we have been collecting locally ...this one was captive born from one of the females that I collected from the "wastelands".
The female is much darker then the ones we find here in SoCal ...in fact she looked different enough to ponder whether she could be another specie ...ponder...but I figured she must be a match. When shes fed nice n'plump her markings match fairly well that of our locals.
So... hopefully success! These are cool Steatoda ...and as pretty as they get.
