Reposting the beastThis post is a kind of remake of the one titled: Just captured a beast.
Since i accidently broke the links on the other one i just thought i would remake it completly and post only the best pics i have of her.
I would realy like to know what it is. In the last post i only had pictures of the spider itself but in this post i will add pics of her resting in her web. I doubt that she is using her web to trap her prey. To me it kinda looks like a place to rest and nothing else. I gave her plenty of diferent options as how she could install herself in her new home and she chose to build a web that covers only a very small area of the container.
Most grass spiders i know will cover a very large area with their web and will hide into a crack or fissure. This one is different. It's as if she build only the Funnel part of the web . And everytime single time i look at her , she is inside it. Maybe she goes hunting a cricket when i'm not looking but i can't tell for sure.
Anyways , here are the pics:
First and second pics are for the abdomen.
Best view of the spider in general .
This is how i had made her container at first.
This is her first web.
This is what it looks like now .
this is what her new web first looked like but it gained very little expansion after a few days. haven't changed for a longtime now.
this is what it looks like right now. It does look very nice. Even though it only covers a small area, she is an artist.
Well there you go those were all the best pics i had. Even if you can't tell for sure what it is , i will take anyone's opinion on what it could possibly be.
Thx in advance

well Pulk i guess you got it
I googled Tegenaria for quite some time and finaly found something that realy realy looks like my spider . Tegenaria domestica seems to be the one. They call it the Lesser europeen house spider. It's very possible that those spiders were brought here from Europe because thats exactly what hapenned with the yellow sacs that we have here. I've read somewhere on a local website that C. mildei were imported from Europe .
Now back to my Tegenaria, i've read many websites talking about the T. domestica and i've seen many pictures and i noticed that they didn't all look exactly the same . Some had black stripes instead of black dots on their abdomen but this URL right here has the best pictures and after seeing those , i have no other choice but to beleive that my mysterious spider has now been identified

Thx to both of you Pulk and Johnny

Well, thats the beauty of it. ID'n the spiders but you will always have some that you wont be certain about. Make it your project and keep us updated on how you do.
