Scolopendra heros molt photosI made a trade with the Pede Master cacoseraph earlier this week. Andrew noted the pede had been acting a little agitated. Two days later the reason for his agitation became clear. The centipede molted yesterday. It was an amazing sight to behold.
This is one of the first photos I took. I quickly filled up my memory card and wasted a lot of time deleting a bunch of photos. That was great timing.
Here are a couple more photos taken after the memory card full debacle.
Thank you Andrew! You gave me a great pede and my first glimpse at a centipede molt. I owe you one.

Very Awesome! i just got my first pede (also from "the pede master") and i wish i would have taken at least a couple pics before i put him in his new house because i don't know when i'll be seeing him again. i do get an occasional glimpse - just enough to know he's doing okay in there. Very cool molt pics - thanks for sharing. Might be the only molt i see - ::lol::!!

Thank you everyone. I was very excited to see the molt. Now I keep peeking at the other pedes in hopes of seeing another molt in progress. I'm sure it will be a long time before witness a second centipede molt.
