Without knowing the species, and thinking about book lung separation I would say female. Can you get a closer shot?

Actually, if Taps are like Psalmos, then that little white dot in the middle of the EF would indicate male.

Might have to wait for a molt on this one, Warren. Taps have very prominent spermathecae, even at a small size so it should be easy. Here's a pic from my 2" gigas.

I might be doing a trade with this guy and Taps are hard to sex ventrally. i've had the most experience with plumipes and they dont get "the white dot" when there male..

I know i'm not the best person to ask for those things but the first thing that came up to my mind after seeing the first picture was Male. I've read the whole article on how to ventraly sex tarrantulas and they said that the arc under it's belly was supposed to mean it's a male. If there is no Arc then it's female.
When i tryed to ventraly sex mine, i saw the arc so i determined it to be a male. Then after his first molt, i posted pictures of the inside of her abdomen and everyone who replyed aggreed with male.
I'm gonna go with male here as well But as i said , i'm definatly not the most experienced person here .
